Jared Aulin is the owner and lead instructor at Aulin PROformance Hockey. Jared had a 16-year pro career with stints in the NHL, AHL and top leagues all over Europe, as well as the opportunity to represent Team Canada several times on the world stage. He earned an under 18 Gold medal, World Jr Championship Silver medal and the opportunity to play for Team Canada at the Deutschland Cup as a pro. Throughout his career Jared experienced the pressures of being amongst the top players in the world for his age, to suffering a career altering shoulder injury and having to battle through all sorts of warranted and unwarranted adversity. At the time it was devastating, but now being in the world of coaching/skill development, Jared has the ability and experiences to relate to all players in all situations.
Since retiring, he has shifted his passion from playing into a teaching role. Jared has been heavily involved in working with all levels of minor hockey, all the way up to the NHL level. He is very focused on teaching skills that allow for creativity and correlate directly to the game without overlooking the simple habits that many forget about today. The game is constantly evolving, and skill techniques are always advancing, so he takes pride in continuously learning, so his athletes continue to have the advantage to adjust quickly.
APH provides an environment where everyone can be themselves and feel comfortable. Jared’s mentorship and ability to relate to every player will make everyone’s hockey journey a fun, exciting and developmental experience. We look forward to working with you.
To challenge players to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Learn new skills and put them to the test with drills that involve decision making. The game happens fast, and skills will only be beneficial if the player can read the game at high speeds.
To give every hockey player the opportunity to work with Jared throughout the season privately, with a team, through his mentorship programs or at any of his camps.
